Role overview

This remote contractor role is for a Legal Specialist who will support legal review work on a part-time basis. The assignment is designed for someone who can contribute between 10 and 40 hours per week and has a strong foundation in legal analysis across different practice areas. Compensation is set at $15 to $25 per hour.

Key responsibilities

Carry out in-depth legal research and assess complex legal issues across a range of practice areas.
Examine agreements, regulatory submissions, and other legal records to verify accuracy and compliance.
Review statutes, regulations, and policy language to inform structured legal assessments.
Draft clear, concise written case summaries and explain legal reasoning for scenario-based work.
Work with teams from different functions to strengthen legal processes and documentation quality.
Spot inconsistencies, compliance gaps, and potential legal exposure in legal materials.

Required background

Solid experience in legal research, contract review, or interpreting regulatory requirements.
Excellent written communication skills and strong documentation habits.
Sharp attention to detail with sound analytical and logical reasoning.
