This remote contractor role is for a Legal Specialist who will support legal review work on a part-time basis. The assignment is designed for someone who can contribute between 10 and 40 hours per week and has a strong foundation in legal analysis across different practice areas. Compensation is set at $15 to $25 per hour.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out in-depth legal research and assess complex legal issues across a range of practice areas.
- Examine agreements, regulatory submissions, and other legal records to verify accuracy and compliance.
- Review statutes, regulations, and policy language to inform structured legal assessments.
- Draft clear, concise written case summaries and explain legal reasoning for scenario-based work.
- Work with teams from different functions to strengthen legal processes and documentation quality.
- Spot inconsistencies, compliance gaps, and potential legal exposure in legal materials.
Required background
- Solid experience in legal research, contract review, or interpreting regulatory requirements.
- Excellent written communication skills and strong documentation habits.
