About the Role
The Internal Security Department (ISD) is dedicated to safeguarding Singapore’s security and stability by countering threats such as foreign subversive entities, espionage, extremist groups, and terrorism. Responsibilities
- Operate independently handling various local and international languages across multiple information channels including internet and media outlets.
- Translate, transcribe, evaluate, and interpret both written and verbal content.
- Detect gaps in information and conduct thorough checks to generate valuable insights.
- Prepare clear, precise, and accurate reports to aid mission-critical activities.
- Work extensively with diverse data sets and effectively convey data-backed conclusions to relevant parties.
- Be prepared to address urgent operational needs during weekends and public holidays as required.
Requirements
- Strong analytical thinking, data synthesis, and evaluation abilities.
- Proficient in English and preferably fluent in the candidate’s native language.
- Knowledge of spoken dialects or additional languages is a significant advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving aptitude with high attention to detail and precision.
- Basic skills in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel and Power BI are preferred.
- Previous experience in translation, investigative, or analytical roles is beneficial.
- Applicants must be Singapore citizens.
