Systems Specialist

Role overview

The Internal Security Department works to detect, counter, and manage threats to Singapore’s internal security and stability. For more than 75 years, ISD and its predecessor bodies have been central to protecting the country from foreign subversive activity, espionage, racial and religious extremism, and terrorism. This role offers the chance to contribute to that mission and support Singapore’s safety, security, and sovereignty.

What you will do

• Partner with external vendors to keep security, IT, and communications systems operating effectively.
• Review current systems for gaps, weaknesses, and constraints, then carry out periodic technology refresh initiatives.
• Work with the Facility Manager to coordinate activities during power shutdown exercises.
• Deliver training to ensure proper use of the relevant security systems.

What we are looking for

• A diploma, or an equivalent level of practical competency, in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline such as Electrical, Mechatronics, or Robotics.
• Prior experience in a similar area is an advantage, though it is not compulsory.
• Genuine interest in information technology and security systems.
• Strong analytical ability.
• Clear communication and solid interpersonal skills.
