Role Overview

As a Host at Flanigan’s Coconut Grove location in Miami, you will be the first person guests meet and often the last person they see before leaving. Your role is to create a positive first impression, welcome guests warmly, guide them to their tables, keep seating organized, and respond to questions or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests in a cheerful, courteous manner and present a neat, professional appearance at all times.
• Use Flanigan’s “Smile Talk” while greeting guests, escorting them to tables, and closing out their visit.
• Manage the wait list and seating flow efficiently to support smooth service.
• Share guest questions or concerns with the manager on duty when needed.
• Keep the foyer, host stand, waiting area, and guest restrooms clean, orderly, and stocked; also clean and restock menus.
• Answer phone calls promptly, within four rings, and direct inquiries to the right team member when appropriate.
• Handle shift transitions, opening and closing tasks, and assigned side work.

Work Requirements

• Ability to move frequently, including reaching, bending, and stooping.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable speaking, reading, and writing in English.
• Completion and passing of the Florida Responsible Vendor program, in line with company policy and state requirements.
• Completion and passing of the food safety certification program, in line with company policy and state requirements.
• Availability to work a five-day work week.
