Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Head of Operations to lead a key manufacturing facility based in the West Midlands. This critical leadership position involves overseeing all aspects of a 24/7 production operation with an emphasis on safety, quality, cost control, and continuous process enhancement while fostering high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily manufacturing activities within a round-the-clock production environment.
• Enhance safety protocols, boost productivity, improve quality, optimize efficiency and elevate customer service standards.
• Promote Lean Manufacturing principles and champion continuous improvement projects.
• Mentor and develop operational managers to cultivate a high-performance workplace culture.
• Oversee operational budgets and implement cost reduction strategies without sacrificing quality or safety.
• Collaborate closely with departments such as Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Commercial, and Finance for performance optimization.
• Support capital investment initiatives and operational enhancement schemes.
• Utilize data analytics and key performance indicators to guide decision-making and foster ongoing improvements.

Candidate Profile

• Established leadership experience at a senior level within manufacturing, accountable for operational results, financial management, and team leadership.
• Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies with demonstrated success in boosting productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Possess a degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
