Role overview
This position leads the full journey of luxury interior projects across hospitality properties, villas, and premium residential spaces for Della. The role combines strong design direction with hands-on site delivery, ensuring projects move smoothly from concept development through final handover while staying true to the brand’s high-end identity.
The role is based in Lonavala, Maharashtra and requires on-site work. It reports to the Head of Department (HOD). The workweek is 6 days.
Design leadership and quality control
- Guide the creation of concepts, layouts, mood boards, material selections, and 3D visual presentations for luxury hospitality and villa interiors.
- Review working drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications to ensure they are correct, practical to build, and structurally sound.
- Make sure every design reflects the brand’s luxury positioning while also supporting durability and everyday operational needs in resort environments.
Execution and project management
- Oversee site activity from early marking and structural changes through finishing and final handover.
- Create, monitor, and drive detailed schedules and milestone trackers using project management tools.
- Carry out regular site visits to check progress, guide site engineers, and resolve execution issues quickly.
Vendor, procurement, and material coordination
- Work with premium suppliers and manufacturers for furniture, custom lighting, specialist hardware, and high-end finishes.
- Source, appoint, and manage contractors, fabricators, and MEP consultants.
- Inspect factories and workshops closely to confirm quality before materials and custom work are delivered to site.
Budgeting and financial control
- Prepare detailed project budgets and accurate cost estimates.
- Track spending, reduce material wastage, and manage design changes or variations to keep work within approved budgets.
Team leadership and stakeholder coordination
- Serve as the main coordination point for senior leadership, design teams, procurement, and on-site contractors.
- Mentor and develop interior designers, draughtsmen, site engineers, and project coordinators.
Candidate profile
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Civil Engineering. The role requires 8 to 15 years of experience in luxury interior design and site execution, along with a strong portfolio covering 5-star hotels, resorts, luxury villas, or premium townships. Strong software capability is expected in AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray, MS Project, and advanced Excel.
