Head of Cross-Border Payment Partnerships

Role Overview

This senior leadership position entails full accountability for profit and loss, strategic alliance development, and spearheading digital evolution within a rapidly expanding cross-border payments organization based in Singapore.

• Take charge of overall business results, including P&L and operational oversight; formulate and implement growth strategies while ensuring excellence in everyday business and functional unit execution.
• Lead high-level partnerships with prominent banks, financial institutions, payment networks, and significant commercial collaborators throughout Singapore and ASEAN region; evaluate and pursue fresh market opportunities, alliances, and mergers/acquisitions.
• Manage financial performance including capital deployment, budgeting, and maintaining long-term financial sustainability.
• Drive innovation and digital transformation initiatives; supervise the development of technology and product strategies to secure competitive differentiation.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

• Minimum of six years in leadership roles within financial services, with at least three years in senior management focused on payments, fintech, or digital banking.
• Demonstrated experience operating a regulated financial entity in Singapore, preferably under Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) regulation.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Payment Services Act, Major Payment Institutions licensing, and expectations from MAS directors and CEOs.
• Robust expertise in risk management, compliance, and corporate governance.
• Exceptional communication abilities, proficiency in stakeholder engagement, and skillful strategic decision-making.

Preferred Attributes:

• Previous approval as a Director or CEO of an MAS-regulated institution.
• Experience in scaling payment enterprises or expanding cross-border payment offerings.
• A well-established network within Singapore’s financial and regulatory communities.
