Using intelligent matching algorithms, reliability ratings, worker verification, and standardized booking tools, Trustawork facilitates efficient hiring while expanding income opportunities for workers. The company is on a mission to enable flexible and mobile work opportunities, aiming to generate over 1 million new jobs in the African gig economy by 2031.
Role Overview
The Founding Operations Lead will be based full-time on-site in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, tasked with establishing and scaling the core operational framework of Trustawork. This leadership role involves creating and optimizing processes crucial to marketplace expansion, including onboarding of workers, maintaining high service standards, and managing client support functions. The compensation package includes stock options.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily marketplace operations to ensure excellent service delivered to clients and workers.
- Recruit, onboard, train, and oversee operational and support personnel.
- Enhance operational performance by driving improvements in reliability, efficiency, and quality of service.
- Address and resolve complex escalations from customers and workers promptly and professionally.
- Build and expand the Operations team as the company grows.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong expertise in operations management and customer experience enhancement.
- Experience working at an early-stage startup or being a former founder is preferred.
- Must reside in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
