Overview

Hayley Group Limited is seeking a skilled Fluid Power Technician to become part of their experienced team located near Exeter. This permanent, full-time position offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work within a leading independent distributor of engineering products in the UK.

Role Description

The successful candidate will possess solid expertise in fluid power engineering and operate within a customer-facing context. Responsibilities will include performing hands-on maintenance and support tasks both within a manufacturing facility and workshop environment.

Working Hours

The role requires a 40-hour workweek from Monday to Friday, with occasional out-of-hours and weekend work when necessary.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct servicing and maintenance of hydraulic systems both onsite and in-house.
  • Assemble and test hydraulic and pneumatic systems within the workshop.
  • Install and assemble hydraulic hoses and fittings accurately.
  • Carry out onsite air leak inspections and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform general mechanical engineering duties as required.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with customers and internal branch teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong general engineering ability alongside proficient use of hand tools.
  • Experience with fluid power systems.
  • Capability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Effective time management and problem-solving skills.
