Evergreen Care invites applications for the role of Experienced Staff Nurse at Oakdale Nursing Home, Tullamore Road, Portarlington, County Laois. This part-time position involves working 12-hour shifts in a supportive and compassionate environment focused on delivering excellent residential care, primarily to older adults.

Responsibilities
- Provide the highest standard of nursing care to residents.
- Help manage daily operations of the nursing home in accordance with the Health Act 2007 and Irish National Standards for Residential Care Settings for Older People.
- Represent the nursing home professionally and prioritize the home’s and residents’ interests.
- Work proactively and independently as part of a team focused on advancing care models.
- Identify and embrace opportunities for improvements and changes in care delivery.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- At least three years of post-registration nursing experience.
- Post-registration management qualification in health or a related discipline.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HIQA standards.
- Registration with, or eligibility for registration with, the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to manage clinical, administrative, and leadership tasks effectively.
- Ability to work autonomously and use initiative.
Desirable Skills
- Previous management experience is advantageous.
- Level 6 QQI Management qualification is highly desirable.
