This part-time position involves working 12-hour shifts in a supportive and compassionate environment focused on delivering excellent residential care, primarily to older adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest standard of nursing care to residents.
• Help manage daily operations of the nursing home in accordance with the Health Act 2007 and Irish National Standards for Residential Care Settings for Older People.
• Represent the nursing home professionally and prioritize the home’s and residents’ interests.
• Work proactively and independently as part of a team focused on advancing care models.
• Identify and embrace opportunities for improvements and changes in care delivery.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least three years of post-registration nursing experience.
• Post-registration management qualification in health or a related discipline.
• Comprehensive knowledge of HIQA standards.
• Registration with, or eligibility for registration with, the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
• Evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to manage clinical, administrative, and leadership tasks effectively.
• Ability to work autonomously and use initiative.

Desirable Skills

• Previous management experience is advantageous.
• Level 6 QQI Management qualification is highly desirable.

Schedule
