Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced English Language Specialist for a remote contract role offering $20-$30 per hour. The contract commitment ranges from 10 to 40 hours weekly, focusing on transcription and refinement of English audio files to meet high standards of accuracy and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe English audio recordings to produce high-quality transcripts.
- Review and enhance machine-generated transcriptions by correcting spelling, grammatical, and contextual errors.
- Apply appropriate metadata tags and annotations to each transcript to improve data integrity.
- Adhere strictly to client standards regarding transcription quality and formatting guidelines.
- Engage with the client team for clarification and to resolve ambiguities in the source materials.
- Maintain systematic records of completed assignments and actively contribute suggestions to improve workflow processes.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Fluency in English with exceptional skills in spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Proven experience in transcription and captioning of English-language audio content.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in annotating transcripts with metadata for language data sets.
- Strong time management abilities to handle tight deadlines effectively in a remote setting.
