About the Role
Join APM Employment Services at our Capalaba, Queensland location as an Employment Consultant focused on supporting individuals facing barriers such as disability, injury, or long-term unemployment to secure meaningful and sustainable employment. This position balances direct participant support with employer engagement, sales, and administrative duties, allowing you to make a significant positive impact daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop trusting relationships with participants to understand their employment goals and prepare them for job readiness.
- Coach participants on resume building, interview techniques, job searching, and accessing training or upskilling opportunities.
- Advocate actively for participants with employers to secure job placements and create opportunities.
- Generate new job leads through cold calling, employer visits, and face-to-face meetings.
- Build and maintain a robust employer network to create ongoing employment pathways.
- Identify hidden job markets and use business development strategies to maximize job opportunities.
- Promote candidates confidently to employers, emphasizing both commercial and social benefits of inclusive hiring.
- Negotiate job trials, work experience, and wage subsidy arrangements to facilitate employment outcomes.
- Manage documentation and data compliance in accordance with program requirements.
- Monitor and meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to placements and engagement.
- Celebrate participant achievements to enhance motivation and confidence.

Eligibility and Requirements
- Right to work in Australia.
- Current driver's license and a comprehensively insured vehicle.
- MyGovID at Standard level required.
