Role Overview
The E-Commerce Manager will take full ownership of the Shopify-based online store, driving improvements with a focus on experimentation and enhancing conversion rates.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the Shopify store, including theme customization and app setup.
- Coordinate product launches, promotions, and sales events in close partnership with the marketing team.
- Create and refine landing pages to boost user experience and increase conversion rates.
- Monitor updates to the Shopify platform and e-commerce trends, assessing and implementing relevant innovations.
- Track store performance metrics like traffic and conversion changes, proactively addressing notable shifts.
- Analyze funnel data, session recordings, and heatmaps to identify areas for A/B testing with clear hypotheses and success criteria.
- Lead the prioritization and execution of A/B testing initiatives, collaborating closely with developers to ensure effective rollouts.
- Develop and maintain a long-term Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) strategy and document insights in a shared knowledge repository.
- Implement SEO best practices on landing pages and product descriptions to enhance organic search presence.
- Strategize to improve visibility in large language model (LLM) based search results, staying informed on Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) developments.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of practical experience managing Shopify stores with hands-on engagement in customization and setup.
- Proactive mindset with a problem-solving approach, contributing thoughtful and practical solutions.
- Hands-on experience managing A/B testing processes from hypothesis development through to data analysis.
- Comfortable with data analysis tools including GA4, funnel analytics, heatmaps, and session replay software.
- Interest and active usage of AI tools to expedite analysis, content creation, and task automation.
- Strong foundational knowledge of SEO and its relationship to discoverability and conversion performance.
- Fluent in English, well-versed in German; additional languages such as French, Italian, or Dutch are advantageous.
- Highly organized, detail-focused, and capable of independently handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
