Role Overview
As a Customs Brokerage Agent based in Shannon, County Clare, Ireland, you will play a key role ensuring the efficient and compliant management of customs processes associated with global trade.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the smooth and timely progression of customs procedures.
- Accurately enter data into operational systems on schedule.
- Monitor and report on customs files through tracking systems.
- Manage client billing accurately and promptly.
- Interpret and execute import/export Desk Level Operating Procedures to meet customer requirements.
- Transfer relevant customs declaration information into entry systems ensuring valid submissions.
- Help verify customs declaration data and assist in submissions to customs authorities.
- Maintain continual compliance with all applicable customs regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong familiarity with customs brokerage functions, laws, particularly classification, valuation, and country of origin rules.
- Knowledge of ocean, road, and air freight documentation processes.
- Effective interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Proactive mindset with solid computer proficiency including MS Excel and MS Word.
- Fluent command of English.
Reporting
You will report to the Customs Brokerage Lead Agent, Supervisor, and Manager.
