Role overview

This is a remote hourly contract opportunity for a Customer Services AI Trainer based in the United Kingdom. The role is focused on improving AI-powered customer service systems through training data creation, interaction review, and quality improvement work. Compensation is set at $30 to $60 per hour, with a weekly commitment of 10 to 40 hours.

Key responsibilities

Create training datasets and realistic case scenarios that help customer service AI perform better.
Review, assess, and label customer conversations to improve response quality and accuracy.
Use conflict-handling and de-escalation experience to teach AI how to respond with empathy and calm.
Carry out ongoing quality checks on AI-generated chats so they sound natural and effective.
Work with product and engineering teams to spot gaps and support better model outcomes.
Turn customer insights into clear suggestions for improving AI features.
Keep up with current customer service standards and AI practices and apply them in training workflows.

Requirements

Background in professional customer service work.
Strong written and spoken English, plus close attention to detail.
Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-moving remote setup.
Proven skill in conflict resolution and calming difficult customer situations.
Ability to transform customer needs and pain points into structured inputs for AI training.
Comfort with technology and the ability to learn new tools quickly.
Team-oriented approach with a commitment to ongoing improvement.
