The opportunity
This full-time Canberra-based position sits within the after-hours operations team. The main focus is resident wellbeing and the overall safety, security, and overnight oversight of the building.
What you will do
- Keep watch over building safety and security, including perimeter checks and handling urgent issues or emergencies during the shift.
- Complete administrative duties such as record keeping, payment processing, audits, and reporting.
- Manage incidents during night duty, including complaints, disputes, and conflict resolution.
- Be a welcoming point of contact for residents who need help, information, or welfare support.
- Handle resident calls relating to noise, disturbances, and lockouts.
- Take part in required training sessions and mandatory staff meetings.
Working pattern
This role requires availability for evening and overnight shifts across a Monday to Sunday roster of 38 hours per week. If a scheduled shift falls on a public holiday, attendance is required.
Mandatory requirements
- A National Police Check completed within the last 3 months.
- A Working with Vulnerable People check.
- Valid Australian work rights.
- A current First Aid and CPR certificate.
- The ability to commit to a 38-hour roster.
