About the Role
Take charge of a dedicated and high-achieving Building Compliance team in a full-time leadership position located in Thames. You'll be responsible for managing daily compliance functions, ensuring inspections and enforcement procedures meet high standards throughout the district.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a close-knit team specializing in Building Compliance
- Supervise compliance monitoring and enforcement operations
- Ensure thorough and accurate inspections, including Building Warrant of Fitness (BWOF) and swimming pool fencing evaluations
- Adhere to statutory deadlines and compliance mandates
- Foster productive relationships both internally and externally
- Promote ongoing improvements and implement practical solutions in processes

Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrable experience in building compliance, especially regarding BWOFs and pool fencing legislation
- Relevant qualifications in building or building control considered advantageous

- Effective communication and decisive decision-making skills
- Strong organizational and prioritization capabilities
