Overview
Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. offers promising career opportunities in IT for skilled professionals. We are seeking an experienced Automation Developer based in Pune, India, with 4 to 7 years of relevant industry experience.
Technical Expertise Required
- Proficiency in automation coding using Object-Oriented C#, preferably within .NET frameworks
- Familiarity with Visual Studio or comparable Integrated Development Environment (IDE)
- Experience working with BDD frameworks such as Specflow or ReqNroll
- Working knowledge of tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps for workflow management
- Experience with Confluence or similar documentation platforms
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Playwright for automation testing
- Understanding of the Wealth Management sector
- Background working within Agile methodologies
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Test Automation strategies, discerning when automation is appropriate based on risk assessment, return on investment, and test reliability
- Conduct API and integration testing using industry-standard tools such as Postman
- Make informed decisions on risk-based testing, determining the balance between automated testing for high-volume and regression cases and manual testing for usability and exploratory cases
- Maintain scalable and sustainable test automation by implementing best practices including modular frameworks, reusable scripts, and self-healing tests
- Incorporate Shift-Left testing practices to integrate automation early in the software development lifecycle
- Develop manual and exploratory testing strategies to cover areas requiring human judgment, such as user experience and accessibility
- Participate actively in Agile and Scrum ceremonies to support continuous delivery
- Demonstrate excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Bring over 4 years of Quality Engineering testing experience, particularly on large-scale greenfield projects
