About the Role
Join Circle K as an Assistant Manager at our Aiken, South Carolina location. This position offers a dynamic, fast-paced work environment with a focus on management career growth. You'll assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily station store operations, including staff supervision, bookkeeping, merchandising, and maintaining high customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support management of store operations including hiring, supervising, and task delegation.
- Monitor and maintain bookkeeping and merchandising standards.
- Promote a positive customer experience by setting an example of urgency, patience, and leadership.
- Assist with recruitment, interviewing, and hiring staff.
- Ensure safety and security compliance in the store.
Skills and Qualifications
- Retail experience is advantageous.
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Strong interview and hiring capabilities.
- Experience with food handling is beneficial.
- High school diploma or college degree is recommended.
Physical Demands
- Standing or walking for up to 8 hours per shift.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds continuously, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.
- Push/pull forces up to 20 pounds.
- Bending and twisting motions up to one hour per shift.
- Hand coordination for handling objects and climbing ladders for stock management.
