Role Overview
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be based in Kolkata, working on-site. The position involves accurate processing of vendor invoices and managing invoice-related queries to facilitate timely payments. Candidates with 2 to 8 years of relevant experience in invoice processing, accounts payable, or ERP systems are invited to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and review vendor invoices, ensuring correct validation before releasing payments.
- Address vendor inquiries and requests received via email or tickets promptly within SLA timelines.
- Verify essential invoice details such as supplier information, purchase orders, bank accounts, invoice numbers, and dates.
- Maintain and monitor an exception tracker to handle invoice discrepancies and queries efficiently.
- Document and retain records of process exceptions for continuous knowledge management.
- Execute transactional duties independently to support compliance and operational processes.
- Follow up on requisitions through calls, emails, or tickets to resolve on-hold invoices per accounts payable guidelines.
- Adhere to internal compliance policies and daily operational guidelines set by management.
- Conduct daily internal audits to ensure processing activities are aligned with company policies.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, or related roles.
- Proficient in English communication, both verbal and written.
- Preferred: Experience with cost model creation and management.
- Preferred: Exposure to pre-sales process management and prior sales support experience.
