Role Overview

The Yardperson role at our Chinchilla location plays a vital support function by maintaining the branch yard and ensuring equipment is loaded and unloaded safely. This permanent position operates Monday through Friday starting at 7 AM, providing an attractive hourly wage with penalty rates applicable on overtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out safe loading and unloading of equipment from vehicles following proper procedures.
• Perform general yard maintenance such as cleaning equipment and facilities to maintain safety and organization.
• Support basic servicing and minor repairs of non-high-risk equipment within the workshop.
• Advocate and engage in a Safety First culture by communicating safety considerations to colleagues and customers.

What We Are Looking For

• Possession of both a current forklift license and a driver’s license (mandatory).
• Experience with loading/unloading procedures including awareness of load restraint principles (highly advantageous).
• Strong safety knowledge and commitment to maintaining safe work practices.
