Overview
We are collaborating with a rapidly expanding fintech company seeking a Vice President of Engineering to establish and lead a top-tier internal engineering team. This key leadership role involves partnering with the CEO to transition from outsourced development to a high-performing in-house organization, while directing the company’s technology strategy and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Take complete ownership of technical architecture, product roadmap, and engineering quality standards.
- Recruit, build, and manage a high-caliber software engineering team operating internally.
- Enhance software deployment velocity, stability, and overall code quality.
- Implement AI-driven engineering practices across development cycles.
- Collaborate closely with product and operations leadership to align engineering output with business goals.
- Decrease reliance on external development vendors by strengthening internal capabilities.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrable leadership experience managing engineering teams, ideally within fintech or mission-critical systems.
- Deep expertise in system architecture and robust software engineering methodologies.
- Hands-on technical leader who remains actively involved in coding and problem solving.
- Experienced in scaling engineering teams and designing foundational engineering processes.
- Familiarity with AI-native engineering workflows and practical use of AI tools in software development.
- Background in dynamic, startup or founder-driven companies preferred.
- Technical proficiency in Python and React is a significant plus.
