About Kushaagra Innovations Foundation
KIF is a Pune-based section 8 non-profit organization specializing in implementing integrated Waste Management Solutions aimed at maximizing the value of waste and minimizing landfill contributions. Their core expertise includes technical advisory and capacity-building programs executed in collaboration with government departments and urban local bodies across Maharashtra.
Role Overview
We are seeking experienced professionals with backgrounds in social work, urban planning, environmental sciences, data, or research to join our team. This role focuses on strategic planning, execution, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement within Solid Waste Management projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Formulate project strategies, detailed work plans, and interventions specifically targeting Solid Waste Management initiatives.
- Manage daily operations, budgets, and ensure execution quality across program elements.
- Lead and mentor field teams, officers, and partner organizations fostering collaborative skill development.
- Engage with government agencies, urban local bodies, municipal corporations, and community groups to maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track progress, analyze data, and generate comprehensive reports.
- Document best practices and contribute actively to knowledge dissemination within the organization and stakeholders.
- Coordinate training sessions and workshops to facilitate capacity building for staff and partner teams.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Urban Planning, or Master of Social Work.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in program management with at least 5 years focused on Solid Waste Management.
- Strong knowledge of India’s developmental environment policies including SWM Rules 2016, ESG guidelines, Environment Protection Act, Swachh Bharat Mission, and Circular Economy 4Rs principles.
- Expertise in livelihood generation, enterprise development, capacity building, and facilitating behavior change.
- Proficient communication skills in English and Marathi, with the ability to engage diverse audiences through written and oral channels.
- Technical proficiency in MS Office suite, monitoring and evaluation tools, and both virtual and in-person adult education methodologies.
- Exemplary leadership, problem-solving capabilities, solid relationship management, and a solution-driven mindset.
