Overview
The Workforce Group in Abuja, Nigeria is seeking a Portfolio Manager to oversee diversified portfolios involving real estate, private credit, and alternative investment strategies. This role involves leading investment evaluation, managing asset performance, and aligning portfolio strategies with financial goals and risk tolerance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage diversified investment portfolios across real estate, private credit, and alternative assets.
- Lead due diligence, investment evaluation, structuring, and execution of deals.
- Perform credit underwriting for private lending and structured finance projects.
- Oversee real estate investment activities including acquisition, asset monitoring, and exit plans.
- Create portfolio strategies that meet targeted returns while considering liquidity and risk constraints.
- Conduct complex financial modeling, valuations, and scenario analyses to guide decision-making.
- Stay informed on macroeconomic and sector trends impacting alternative assets.
- Prepare and present investment proposals and portfolio updates to senior leadership and committees.
- Ensure robust risk management, diversification, and preservation of capital across the portfolio.
- Work closely with capital raising and compliance departments to ensure investor expectations align with portfolio approaches.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related disciplines; advanced degrees like a Master's or MBA are advantageous.
- A minimum of 3 to 10 years of experience in portfolio, investment, or asset management.
- Proven track record managing alternative investment and real estate portfolios.
- SEC licensing or sponsorship is highly preferred.
- Strong expertise in structured investments and credit risk analysis.
- Experience handling illiquid or semi-liquid investment portfolios is favored.

- Salary ranges from 500000 to 700000 Nigerian Naira per month.
