Role Overview
As a member of a four-person team reporting to the Senior Manager of Payroll, Remuneration & Benefits, the Payroll Officer is tasked with ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of payroll services organization-wide. Responsibilities include managing all payroll activities related to new hires, contract changes, terminations, redundancies, leave administration, and upkeep of employee records.
The role entails providing payroll-related assistance to employees, People & Culture team members, supervisors, and external vendors, resolving enquiries, and supporting payroll reporting and pay cycle operations.
Additionally, the Payroll Officer contributes to continuous improvements aimed at enhancing payroll efficiency, compliance with applicable Awards and legislation, and alignment with organizational goals and best practices.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is an experienced payroll professional skilled in comprehensive payroll operations within high-volume settings. They possess a solid understanding of payroll laws, policies, procedures, and Modern Awards, coupled with a service-oriented mindset focused on fostering trusted relationships and delivering precise, prompt, and excellent service.
