Role Overview

As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for delivering courteous and professional customer service while preparing meat products and maintaining displays to ensure quality presentation. You will actively foster a positive environment for both employees and customers. The role requires availability during mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide attentive service to meet customer needs.
• Prepare various meat products to company and regulatory standards.
• Stock and merchandise meat displays as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the meat department.
• Receive and process meat orders efficiently.
• Handle special meat product requests.
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities.
• Adhere to company meat standards and Canadian Food Inspection Agency regulations.
• Implement all relevant company policies and procedures.
• Complete necessary administrative tasks.
• Train new employees and clerks on technical aspects of the role.
• Support the Meat Manager or Second Meat Clerk as required.

Qualifications and Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of meat department operations and skills.
• Capability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• At least 12 months of relevant experience.
