Job description
About the Role
This fixed-term/secondment opportunity at Porirua District Court until July 2027 offers a vital role supporting the smooth functioning of the Court. As a Court Registry Officer, you will collaborate with a diverse team ensuring effective court operations and communication between stakeholders such as defendants, witnesses, legal representatives, police officers, and judiciary members.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate court operations by assisting with the introduction of Judges and judicial officers in both English and Te Reo Māori, supporting them during courtroom proceedings and in their chambers, and managing court administrative tasks.
- Oversee case management including maintaining accurate, up-to-date files, data entry, and coordination to ensure cases are effectively scheduled and conducted promptly.
- Deliver frontline customer service by assisting court visitors in person, via phone, or email, addressing a variety of court-related inquiries.

Additional Information
The salary range for this position is between $60,729 and $80,794 annually, dependent on qualifications and experience.
