Role Overview

The Collections Advisor position is crucial to our collections department, managing customer accounts and pursuing the recovery of outstanding payments. This role demands excellent communication skills and a customer-centric mindset, enabling effective handling of inquiries with empathy while aligning with company goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of customer accounts, initiating outbound collection calls and addressing inbound queries.
• Arrange payment plans that meet both customer circumstances and business targets.
• Respond to customer questions professionally, offering clear information about account balances and payment options.
• Keep comprehensive records of all interactions and actions related to customer accounts.
• Refer complex or high-risk accounts to senior collection staff as appropriate.
• Conduct all collection activities in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Spot opportunities to boost customer satisfaction while enhancing collection results.
• Engage in training activities and share effective methods with the team.
• Achieve individual and collective performance goals to support team success.

Candidate Profile

• A minimum of one year’s experience in collections, customer service, or a related area.
• A constructive, customer-oriented approach with empathy and patience to handle difficult conversations tactfully.
• Adaptability, eagerness to learn, and readiness to improve personal skills.
• A strong sense of ethics and integrity.
• Basic familiarity with collections procedures and applicable regulations is advantageous.
