Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and seasoned Accountant to join our team at Ds Light in Sharjah, UAE. This full-time position entails overseeing the company’s financial documentation, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, and facilitating smooth financial operations on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and manage general ledger accounts.
• Execute journal entries, invoice processing, payments, and receipt management.
• Perform bank reconciliations and oversee cash flow activities.
• Prepare financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Assist with VAT submissions, ensuring compliance with UAE tax laws.
• Support external audit processes by providing necessary financial documentation.
• Process payroll and keep comprehensive payroll records when needed.
• Monitor budgets and provide financial analysis assistance to management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and prevailing accounting standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 to 5 years of accounting experience; experience in the UAE is preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and UAE VAT regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software, specifically Odoo System.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication capabilities.
• Ability to work autonomously and deliver tasks within deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in construction, lighting, or trading sectors is advantageous.
• Knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting procedures.
• High attention to detail coupled with strong problem-solving skills.
