About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and seasoned Accountant to join our team at Ds Light in Sharjah, UAE. This full-time position entails overseeing the company’s financial documentation, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, and facilitating smooth financial operations on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records and manage general ledger accounts.
Execute journal entries, invoice processing, payments, and receipt management.
Perform bank reconciliations and oversee cash flow activities.
Prepare financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
Assist with VAT submissions, ensuring compliance with UAE tax laws.
Support external audit processes by providing necessary financial documentation.
Process payroll and keep comprehensive payroll records when needed.
Monitor budgets and provide financial analysis assistance to management.
Ensure compliance with company policies and prevailing accounting standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 2 to 5 years of accounting experience; experience in the UAE is preferred.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and UAE VAT regulations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software, specifically Odoo System.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication capabilities.
Ability to work autonomously and deliver tasks within deadlines.

Preferred Skills

Experience in construction, lighting, or trading sectors is advantageous.
Knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting procedures.
High attention to detail coupled with strong problem-solving skills.
