About Crosscare
Crosscare is a social care organization affiliated with the Dublin Diocese, operating as a registered charity. Position Overview
The role is based at our Ballybough Youth Service, working 37.5 hours per week from Tuesday to Saturday under a permanent contract. The salary range is €38,769 to €57,011, dependent on experience. Reporting to the Manager, the Youth Worker will primarily deliver programs targeting young people identified as most vulnerable within the Ballybough community.
Key Duties
- Deliver youth programs focusing on disadvantaged young people in Ballybough.
- Spend approximately 70% of working hours directly engaging with youth.
- Operate within established Youth Work Processes and Models.
- Work a minimum of three late evenings weekly and weekends as requested.
- Coordinate residential activities as part of the youth work initiatives.
- Participate actively in staff meetings and represent the youth service at relevant committees when required.
- Submit timely and accurate administrative documentation and reports.
- Collaborate on grant applications in consultation with line management.
- Manage challenging behaviors effectively and uphold Crosscare’s strategic goals and values.
- Build and maintain strong relationships within the community and with collaborative projects in the Ballybough area.
- Complete all assigned duties thoughtfully and professionally, including record keeping through systems like Logbook and UBU reporting forms.

Qualifications and Experience
- A third-level qualification in youth work or a related discipline is mandatory.
- Experience in handling Child Safeguarding issues is required.
- A clean driving license is preferred but not mandatory.
