Job description

About the Program

Goddard Riverside Community Center and the Stanley M. Isaacs Center are two prominent community-focused organizations in Manhattan that collectively operate with a budget nearing $63 million. Together, they provide comprehensive support services to around 30,000 residents across the borough, including children, youth, families, homeless individuals, and elders. Their Pathways for Youth initiative aims to equip young adults up to 24 years old with sustained support, coaching, and life plan navigation to foster self-sufficiency.

Role Summary

The Youth Navigator will offer direct, robust support and developmental guidance to youth between 14 and 25 years old residing in Lincoln Square and Upper Westside communities. This position necessitates active outreach and engagement with vulnerable young people, using a primary person approach to sustain relationships and facilitate their growth towards independent adulthood by age 25. Though much of the role involves structured programming, flexibility is essential to be responsive outside traditional hours, including presence at rotating weekend and evening sessions.

Work Schedule & Salary

  • Minimum of 35 hours weekly
  • Standard hours: 1pm to 9pm, Monday through Friday
  • Rotating Saturdays from 11:30am to 4:30pm
  • Nights and weekends work is mandatory

Salary for this role ranges from $41,500 to $50,000 annually, adjusted to reflect the candidate’s relevant experience and any preferred skills or qualifications.
