Job Purpose and Responsibilities

The Yard/Shop Porter is entrusted with upholding the cleanliness and safety of the workshop environments and surrounding grounds. This role supports the Shop Manager by assisting with errands and setting up or breaking down furniture for meetings and events.

• Maintain cleanliness and safety of shop floors and outside grounds by regular sweeping, cleaning, and relocating waste materials.
• Operate floor cleaning equipment, including sweepers and brooms, to ensure tidy workspaces.
• Use forklift machinery safely to transport materials within the premises.
• Regularly empty waste containers to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Comply with all company safety guidelines and procedures.
• Arrange and dismantle chairs and tables for various meetings and company events.
• Perform errands as directed by management teams.
• Complete other duties as assigned by management.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent education.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely in line with established protocols.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs independently.
• Maintain a clean driving record.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying and completing tasks without constant direction.
