1st Shift Packer - Monday to Thursday (7am-5:30pm)

Job Overview

Join a packaging operations team in LaGrange, GA, working full-time during the first shift from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Thursday. This role involves efficiently and safely packing finished goods onto pallets while maintaining high quality and cleanliness standards.

Primary Duties

• Pack and stack finished products securely to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
• Identify defective finished goods and promptly notify maintenance or quality personnel if defects exceed a minimal number.
• Efficiently complete brand and size changes on the packaging line as required.
• Inspect finished products for adherence to quality standards.
• Clear any jams in the shrink wrap machinery and expertly thread the shrink wrapper to keep operations running smoothly.
• Maintain the packaging line's cleanliness and organization to comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, including removal of cartons, dust, and debris.
• Accurately fill out transfer tickets and production reports.
• Detect and report any substandard products or raw materials.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Capability to lift up to 35 pounds safely.
• Willingness and physical endurance to stand for up to 10 hours daily, extended to 12 hours during peak season.
• Between three to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
