Yard & Drive Thru Team Member - Mount Maunganui

About the Role

Join our team at PlaceMakers in Mount Maunganui as a Yard and Drive Thru Team Member. This permanent full-time position involves directly assisting customers in our timber yard and drive thru area, handling loading and unloading of goods onto vehicles and trucks, processing transactions, and managing inventory. You'll be an essential part of ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to customers within the timber yard and Drive Thru department
• Load goods onto customer vehicles efficiently and safely
• Process customer orders and complete transactions accurately
• Pick orders for delivery when required
• Monitor inventory through cycle counts and maintain stock accuracy
• Assist with warehouse maintenance to ensure operational efficiency
• Operate a forklift to support yard activities

Candidate Profile

• Hold a full clean Class 1 driver's licence; forklift licence and experience preferred
• Have knowledge of trade products or experience in warehousing
• Be physically fit and committed to strong health and safety practices
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
• Possess strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
• Be comfortable with computer use and have good numeracy skills

Additional Information

This role requires working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday plus rostered Saturdays at our Mt Maunganui branch. Pre-employment screening including references, medical check, drug testing, and criminal background check will be conducted. Candidates must have the legal right to work indefinitely in New Zealand.
