About the Role
We seek a qualified Workshop Technician to join our Building Services Team located in Radstock, Somerset. This full-time permanent position involves maintaining the Construction Centre workshops to a high standard of cleanliness and organization. The role supports the building services department by preparing materials and tools and assisting lecturers with technical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the construction and building services workshop sections.
- Maintain workshop areas, equipment, and tools ensuring they are clean, tidy, and well organized.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are safe and functional for student and staff use.
- Adhere strictly to weekly cleaning schedules covering all workshop spaces including floors.
- Monitor the working condition of all equipment to prevent downtime.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum Level 2 education qualification.
- Familiarity with health and safety practices and protocols within a workshop environment.
- Good understanding of various machinery and hand tools used in construction workshops.
Additional Information
