About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our fitness club in Bristol. This leadership position demands active engagement in sales, customer service, and operations to uphold high standards, grow all revenue channels, and ensure every member enjoys an excellent experience.

The role requires a detail-oriented and proactive leader who can recruit, nurture, and motivate a high-achieving team committed to meeting performance targets and enhancing the member journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and develop a motivated team, providing ongoing constructive feedback to optimize performance.
• Drive membership acquisition, secondary sales, and overall revenue generation to boost profitability.
• Lead from the front on the gym floor and reception, guaranteeing a personalized and elevated experience for visitors.
• Ensure all routine operational procedures are meticulously executed and upheld.
• Maintain exceptional cleanliness, presentation, and safety standards at all times.
• Foster team engagement with national initiatives and campaigns.
• Address challenges with resilience, agility, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Manage compliance with all policies, including health and safety regulations and pool operations.

Requirements

• A genuine passion for health, fitness, and wellness.
• Desirable Level 2 Fitness Qualification.
• At least one year of management experience within the fitness industry.
• Strong leadership capabilities with adaptable communication and management styles.
• Member-focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Commercially aware with a strong drive to achieve results.
• Positive attitude, resilient nature, and a fearless approach to problem-solving.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
