Role overview
Downer Energy & Utilities is hiring a Landowner Liaison / Works Coordinator to join the Field Support team in Palmerston North. The position focuses on administrative and coordination support so landowner liaison work and delivery programs can operate efficiently.
You will help keep communication with landowners running smoothly, maintain accurate information, and support project managers, supervisors, and field teams in meeting operational and client commitments.
Key duties
- Maintain the client’s landowner liaison database, keeping entries current, relevant, and accurate.
- Refresh the internal resource plan with landowner liaison notes and information.
- Contact landowners directly to confirm property access and preserve positive working relationships.
- Prepare and send monthly mailouts to landowners using information aligned to the current work scope.
- Work closely with the scheduler to help achieve monthly client targets.
- Coordinate with project managers, construction managers, service delivery managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to support goal achievement.
- Advise senior management on issues that need attention and carry out resulting decisions.
- Support the reporting of variations and other updates to the client together with job managers.
- Gather and review project data to help ensure work is completed on schedule and outcomes are delivered.
- Manage client-owned equipment within the system, including stocktakes, repair tracking, and replacement materials or equipment.
- Handle questions and resolve issues related to contracts, programs, projects, services, and affected parties.
- Maintain paperwork and records tied to contracts, programs, projects, and service delivery.
Experience and capabilities
The role calls for at least three years of relevant experience, along with strong organisation skills, attention to detail, and confidence working with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Background in administration or coordination support.
- Strong customer service skills and professional communication.
- Comfort speaking with landowners by phone, email, and formal written correspondence.
- Careful, accurate data entry and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience with CRM, SharePoint, Maximo, JD Edwards, or similar systems is an advantage.
