About Jurong Port
Jurong Port specializes in versatile port operations including efficient handling of general, bulk, and containerized cargo. It also manages the Tuas Offshore Marine Centre and Lighter Terminals located in Penjuru and Marina South. Beyond Singapore, Jurong Port participates in joint ventures in China and Indonesia. In 2016, the port managed close to 35 million tons of general and bulk cargo along with 560,000 TEUs of container cargo across local and overseas terminals.
Role Overview
This role involves maintaining safety standards across the port, setting and managing Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) targets, and developing programs to foster a proactive safety culture. The officer will monitor and assess the effectiveness of these initiatives, keep the WSH Management Systems current and relevant to Jurong Port's operational context, track progress, and provide timely reports on targets and programs. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.
Requirements

- Minimum qualification is a Diploma in Health, Safety and Environmental studies or a related field.
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to deliver high-quality work independently.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams including operations, technical staff, and contractors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills, both oral and interpersonal.
- Proficient in verbal and written English.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Possession of a valid Singapore Class 3 driver’s license is an advantage.
