Workplace Safety Health Officer Cum FSM

Job Overview

The Workplace Safety Health Officer Cum FSM will aid the Safety Manager in all matters regarding safety, health, environmental welfare, and regulatory compliance. This role is pivotal in ensuring the project aligns with statutory and aerodrome safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Safety Manager in overseeing health, safety, and environmental controls to guarantee procedural and instruction compliance.
• Coordinate and liaise with stakeholders, government agencies, and consultants engaged by the developer.
• Compile and submit daily situation reports.
• Ensure correct execution of risk assessments and safe work procedures on-site.
• Conduct daily inspections focused on health, safety, and environment; prepare related reports and ensure follow-ups with the project safety team and contractors.
• Investigate accidents and near-miss events, documenting findings appropriately.
• Comply with safety protocols by wearing required personal protective equipment at all times.
• Implement and monitor safety measures following the Workplace Health and Safety Act and the organization's Safety Management System.
• Identify areas needing additional training or certification in compliance with legislation and safety guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of three years of relevant experience in construction projects, with at least two years working with a developer or main contractor.
• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer certified by MOM.
• Certified in managing work at height and confined space access.
• Experienced in developing a Risk Management Implementation Plan equivalent to bizSAFE Level 2.
