Role Overview
As a Working Student in Healthcare Data Curation, you will be part of the interdisciplinary Snke Data team and help connect clinical expertise with digital data solutions. Your work will support the gathering, labeling, and organization of healthcare data that underpin analytics and interoperability in medicine.
What You Will Do
- Assist with preparing, curating, and annotating medical and clinical datasets.
- Work alongside data engineers to maintain accurate and consistent data models.
- Help define data collection processes and metadata frameworks using FHIR guidelines.
- Investigate and use medical coding systems such as SNOMED CT, ICD, and LOINC for mapping and standardization.
- Support the creation of documentation, reports, and quality assurance activities.
- Take part in interdisciplinary meetings with data scientists and software developers.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for an enrolled student in Medicine, Medical Informatics, Health Sciences, or a similar field who has a basic grasp of clinical processes and healthcare data structures. An interest in digital health, data interoperability, and medical AI is important, along with a careful, structured way of working. You should be motivated to learn data standards such as FHIR and DICOM; training will be provided. Strong English communication skills are required, and German is considered an advantage.
