Role overview
This remote contract opportunity is for experienced professionals who are highly skilled in Word and PDF document work. The position focuses on supporting AI training efforts by providing accurate, high-quality examples drawn from real-world document handling. Prior AI experience is not necessary; deep subject-matter expertise and strong document skills are the key requirements.
What you will do
- Review, edit, and format documents in Word and PDF with close attention to client and industry standards.
- Handle tracked changes, annotations, and version tracking across detailed and lengthy files.
- Build, modify, and complete dynamic forms and templates for a variety of professional use cases.
- Extract information from Word and PDF files and consolidate it accurately.
- Work with different teams to deliver document outputs that are accurate, timely, and handled confidentially.
- Apply document workflows for projects that involve legal, regulatory, or compliance requirements.
- Guide and assist stakeholders on advanced Word and PDF tools and best practices.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of intensive professional experience using Word and PDF tools.
- Strong command of formatting, review workflows, tracked changes, and markup tools.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, along with a sharp eye for detail.
- A Master’s degree, PhD, or JD in a relevant discipline such as law, healthcare, academia, public policy, or finance.
- Experience serving Fortune 500 clients or operating in highly regulated, complex environments.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Comfort working independently in a remote, deadline-focused setting.
Preferred background
- Experience in specialist roles such as legal practice, healthcare administration, academic research, government consulting, or finance/real estate operations.
- Hands-on knowledge of advanced PDF features, including form fields, digital signatures, and secure handling.
- A portfolio that shows successful delivery of high-impact Word and PDF projects.
