Job description
Overview
We are looking for a creative and trend-conscious Womenswear Fashion Designer with 3 to 5 years of apparel design experience to join our team in Mumbai. This role involves developing innovative fashion concepts and producing high-quality womenswear collections.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct fashion trend research and develop seasonal concepts, mood boards, and color palettes.
- Design diverse womenswear collections across various categories.
- Create sketches, computer-aided designs (CADs), technical packs, and detailed design specifications.
- Work closely with merchandising, sourcing, and product development departments to ensure cohesive product outcomes.
- Choose appropriate fabrics, trims, prints, and decorative embellishments.
- Participate in sample reviews and fit sessions to maintain high design standards and quality control.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Possess a degree in Fashion Design.
- Have 3 to 5 years of proven experience in womenswear design.
- Skilled in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop applications.
- Deep understanding of current fashion trends, textiles, garment construction, and fit techniques.
- Strong communication and organizational capabilities.
