Position Summary
The Comprehensive Perinatal Health Worker (CPHW) plays a vital role in delivering perinatal and newborn education alongside individualized counseling through the Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP). This position builds a seamless integration of varied perinatal services, enhancing patient access and care coordination. The CPHW works closely with clinical leadership and medical teams to align with program goals and service delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide education and one-on-one counseling for perinatal and newborn care within the CPSP framework.
- Coordinate and integrate multiple services for streamlined patient experience and accessibility.
- Serve as the clinic representative regarding perinatal service delivery matters.
- Collaborate with Clinic Director, Women's Health Director, medical providers, and nursing staff to implement program objectives effectively.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent mandatory.
- Completion of Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited institution.
- At least one year of experience in OB/GYN clinical settings.
- Demonstrated ability handling referrals within healthcare.
- Proficiency in venipuncture techniques.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Possession of Family Planning Health Worker certification is preferred but not required.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is favored, contingent on community served.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or higher, compliant with American Heart Association or American Red Cross standards.
Compensation
The hourly wage ranges from $27.25 to $32.02, subject to factors including experience, skills, education, certifications, and organizational needs. Additional bonuses or incentives may be awarded at discretion.
