About the Role

As third-party operations advance in a dynamic and demanding environment, we are looking for a dedicated Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Officer. This role involves managing occupational safety risks and promoting employee wellbeing by implementing safety programs, conducting audits, and supporting compliance with regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular site inspections to assess safety conditions and suggest practical improvements to operations.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits aligning with regulatory requirements and local safety protocols.
- Track and analyze safety performance metrics, prepare reports, and investigate incident trends to highlight critical areas for intervention.
- Assist with rolling out new safety initiatives and offer guidance on safety procedures throughout third-party operations.
- Ensure adherence to Amazon’s supply chain safety policies as well as regional and local regulations.
- Lead safety meetings and contribute actively to safety briefings.
- Support incident investigation processes and guarantee prompt communication concerning incidents.
- Utilize safety data analytics to identify opportunities for proactive safety enhancements.
- Oversee safety training compliance and validate the effectiveness of training programs.
Educational and Professional Requirements
- Relevant experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, or Instrumentation and Controls fields.
- Preferred: At least one year of experience in maintenance of conveyors, automation, or control systems.
Additional Information
Reporting directly to the Country WHS Manager, this position is part of the Q-Express Documents Transport team (G25).
