Compass International School Doha, part of Nord Anglia Education, is looking for a creative and energetic Whole School Performing Arts Teacher to lead and strengthen its performing arts offer across all year groups and campuses. What the role involves

You will inspire students through engaging teaching, creative planning and a learning environment that encourages ambition and achievement. The post requires someone who can teach across a wide ability range, adapt lessons to different needs, and actively develop students’ language, literacy and communication skills within performing arts learning.

You will also support extracurricular activities, school events, visits, visitors, community performances and broader engagement with students, parents and the school community. The role calls for a flexible educator who is comfortable working across multiple sites and contributing to a growing and ambitious programme.

Candidate profile

The school is seeking a teacher who brings strong motivation, excellent communication, a positive presence and a values-led approach. An inclusive teaching style is important, especially when supporting English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners. You should be able to build clear progression for all learners and help each student achieve success through individualised targets.

Essential qualifications and experience

Applicants must have a relevant university degree, a recognised teaching qualification, teaching experience in a UK and/or international setting, and a strong understanding of the English national curriculum as it applies to the subject.

Fluent English is required at native or near-native level. To meet Qatar visa rules, candidates must also hold a Bachelor’s degree and a teaching qualification completed through an in-person, non-online programme.

Preferred background

A Master’s degree or evidence of further professional development is desirable.
