Role Overview
As a working student in Production Controlling at our Markranstädt site, you will support production preparation and manufacturing control. You will gain comprehensive exposure to production planning in a growing technology company, contributing actively to making production processes more efficient, transparent, and reliable. You will be integrated as a full member of our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, authorizing, and managing manufacturing orders considering capacities, material availability, and delivery schedules.
- Contribute to creating, maintaining, and improving production plans, work schedules, and bills of materials in the Epicor ERP system.
- Support scheduling and prioritization of production orders to ensure high delivery reliability.
- Monitor production progress, identify deviations early, and help initiate suitable corrective actions.
- Coordinate with production, purchasing, logistics, quality, and engineering to maintain smooth material and information flows.
- Maintain master data relevant to production such as planned times, throughput times, and capacity data.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Participate in regular KPI evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives in production planning and supply chain.
- Ensure safe working conditions by reporting risks or safety deviations.
Candidate Profile
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program, e.g. Industrial Engineering, Production Technology, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field.
- Some practical experience in production preparation, manufacturing control, production planning, or similar environment is advantageous.
- Ideally familiar with ERP or MRP systems; experience with Epicor is a plus.
- Comfortable using MS Office, especially Excel, with enthusiasm for data analysis.
- Organized, structured, and able to work independently with strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously while prioritizing effectively.
- Confident communicator working well across departments and with diverse teams.
- Proficient in German and English.
- Self-motivated, solution-oriented, and eager to take on responsibility.
