- Prepare and serve nutritious meals for the children; additional family meal preparation preferred for confident cooks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of children’s rooms, play areas, and shared spaces.
- Perform light housekeeping such as laundry, dishwasher duties, and tidying common areas.
- Assist with household organization and replenishment of child-related supplies.
- Run occasional errands including grocery or gift shopping.
- When parents are present with children, provide occasional dog walking for their two small friendly dogs.
Candidate Qualities and Requirements
- Minimum of three years professional nanny experience caring for infants and toddlers.

- Up-to-date standard vaccinations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work proactively and independently while collaborating with parents.
- Flexible schedule with at least two weeks advanced notice for any changes; willingness to travel upstate every other weekend in summer.
Schedule and Travel
Typical weekend schedule offers about 24 hours: Friday 12:00pm–10:00pm, Saturday 11:00am–6:00pm, Sunday 9:00am–4:00pm, with variances allowing for flexibility. Candidates available only Saturdays and Sundays who can travel upstate Fridays will receive additional weekend hours to meet the minimum.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage of $40 to $45, gross or net depending on experience and preference.
- One to two paid weekends off annually.
